The Volunteering Portal is an innovative platform that "brings together and connects people, volunteers, organizations, businesses and resources" for a common cause, support NGOs/those in need and work towards improving society. The Administrator of the Portal is the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC) and its District Volunteerism Coordinative Councils (DVCC), which operate the Volunteer Centres.

The PVCC is the Supreme Coordinating Body of voluntary organizations/NGOs and volunteerism in the Republic of Cyprus, based on legislation. It was established in 1973 with a mission to coordinate and support voluntary/non-governmental organisations, promote the principles and values of volunteering and safeguard a favourable operating environment for NGOs.  It has more than 420 member organizations/NGOs, that operate at national and local level in various fields.
